Alright, a quick guess the plot to start us off.
Steve:Which Bluey episode is this?
Steve:Bluey excludes baby socks.
Lovella:Oh, is it Veranda Santa?
Steve:Yes.
Lovella:Welcome to Kids Versus Parents, the family trivia battle with four questions for the kids and four tougher ones.
Lovella:for the parents.
Lovella:I'm Lovella.
Steve:And I'm Steve.
Steve:Today we're playing our Guess the Plot game, which is four cryptic clues to the plot of a movie or a book.
Steve:Today we're doing bluey episodes.
Steve:So fun, right?
Lovella:Yeah.
Steve:There's so many bluey episodes.
Lovella:There are so many.
Lovella:There's
Lovella:Three seasons?
Steve:Four seasons?
Steve:No, three seasons.
Steve:Three seasons and there's like fifty episodes in each season nearly.
Steve:So there's a hundred and fifty
Steve:Yeah, there's a a lot of episodes to choose from.
Steve:So this could be very hard or depending on how much you watch Bluey could be very easy too.
Lovella:Yeah, that's true.
Steve:I certainly had fun coming up with some of these.
Lovella:Yeah, me too.
Steve:All right, so what is the prize for our winner of the Bluey episode?
Steve:Guess the plot game today, Mabella.
Lovella:Well, the winner gets a feather wand.
Lovella:And for you Bluey fans who who know what that is, it's the wand that makes everything heavy.
Steve:Yep
Steve:You pointed at something.
Lovella:You point it at something and it becomes heavy.
Steve:Right.
Lovella:So that means the winner, they can make one imaginary thing heavy for the loser.
Steve:Oh, okay, right.
Lovella:For example, I think this is actually what happened in the episode Featherwand, Bluey and Bingo.
Lovella:made the toilet seat really heavy.
Lovella:So Bandit the dad couldn't get into it and he had to go
Steve:to sit down.
Lovella:He no, he just had to run into the garden and do his business there.
Lovella:So you can play that prank on your parents.
Lovella:There you go guys that's a
Steve:I see.
Steve:Gotcha.
Steve:Alright, well who's gonna go first today, Lovella?
Lovella:How about the parents?
Steve:Ooh, okay, parents up first.
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:Alright, you're asking questions first.
Steve:I'm trying to solve the cryptic clues.
Lovella:Alright, here we go.
Lovella:Parents, plot number one.
Lovella:Tired Muffin refuses bedtime.
Lovella:Um Do you know who Muffin is?
Steve:Yeah, yeah.
Steve:Muffin is the the crazy one, right?
Steve:The cousin?
Lovella:Yes.
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:The little gray and gray dog.
Lovella:Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Steve:Yeah.
Lovella:Alright, what was the clue again?
Lovella:Tired Muffin refuses bedtime.
Steve:Okay, so this is the one when Muffin doesn't want to go to sleep.
Steve:Ah the only one I can think of is sleepy time.
Lovella:Mm-hmm.
Steve:That's I I don't know the name.
Steve:I'm gonna guess Sleepy Time.
Lovella:You are incorrect.
Lovella:I would have said the same thing if I knew, but it was actually sleepover.
Steve:Yes, right, because Muffin doesn't live there.
Lovella:Yes.
Steve:Sleepy Time is when Is Bingo's dream kind of thing.
Lovella:Um
Lovella:Muffin is refusing to go to bed because Yep, they're sleeping over.
Steve:Yep, got it.
Steve:All right, not on the board yet.
Steve:Okay, give me plot number two.
Lovella:All right, plot number two
Lovella:Dad experiences pretend labor.
Steve:Okay, this is um
Steve:Dad baby.
Steve:Dad baby.
Steve:That's when Bingo is pretending to be the baby.
Lovella:Yeah.
Steve:She pops out and goes, Okay.
Steve:Dad baby?
Steve:Yes.
Steve:Yes.
Steve:Correct.
Steve:I love that episode.
Lovella:It's so funny.
Lovella:I love that one.
Lovella:Because
Lovella:My favorite part is when Bandit is actually like pretending he's full-on in labor.
Lovella:He's in that like kiddie pool pretending to go through it.
Lovella:And then Lucky's dad comes over and he's pretending to be all seating and they sing a song together.
Lovella:It was so
Lovella:Funny.
Lovella:I like bowled my eyes out.
Lovella:That is such a good episode.
Steve:Nice one.
Lovella:Um good job.
Steve:All right.
Lovella:You are one out of two so far.
Steve:Yep.
Lovella:So let's see how you do.
Steve:Okay.
Lovella:All right.
Lovella:Plot number three.
Lovella:Dinner collection becomes disaster.
Steve:Dinner collection becomes disaster.
Steve:Dinner Collection becomes disaster.
Steve:Um
Steve:Oh, oh, um, he goes to the the takeaway store.
Steve:Takeaway, the takeaway.
Steve:Just I think it's just called takeaway.
Lovella:Correct.
Steve:Good job.
Steve:Yes.
Steve:Alright.
Steve:He wants his dim sims.
Lovella:Oh my gosh.
Lovella:This is so good.
Lovella:That's another great episode.
Lovella:I love it.
Lovella:Oh my gosh.
Lovella:All Bluey episodes are so good.
Lovella:I'm very excited for them making a movie about it.
Lovella:That's gonna be really good.
Steve:It's gonna be good.
Lovella:All right
Steve:Plot number four.
Lovella:Last plot.
Lovella:Here we go.
Lovella:Plot number four.
Lovella:Childhood home faces sale
Steve:Oh, that's the last one.
Steve:Um, oh, what's it called?
Steve:That's the final episode.
Steve:It's the long one.
Steve:Um, oh, it's uh the sign.
Steve:The sign.
Lovella:Correct.
Steve:Yes.
Lovella:That episode was the saddest episode.
Steve:No, that's a sadder episode.
Steve:Okay, but that was one of the smile
Lovella:Okay, Bluey does get me really sad, but I never really cry because I'm not a big crier when it comes to TV shows.
Steve:But you cried in that one?
Lovella:I cried so hard in that one because that was so sad
Lovella:But that's happy ending.
Lovella:Happy ending.
Steve:Happy sad.
Lovella:Yes.
Steve:Bittersweet.
Lovella:My gosh.
Steve:All right.
Steve:That's it for me.
Steve:That's all mine.
Steve:Yeah, you got a three out of four.
Steve:Three out of four.
Lovella:Not bad.
Lovella:Excellent.
Lovella:Okay.
Steve:All right, kids.
Steve:You know you're Bluey?
Lovella:I hope so.
Lovella:I'm actually kind of surprised on how well you did.
Lovella:Because I mean, you do watch Bluey with us, but you picked you picked some good episodes.
Steve:You picked some very memorable episodes.
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:And that was helpful.
Steve:So well done.
Steve:All right.
Steve:You're up next, kids.
Steve:Okay.
Steve:Okay, kids, you ready?
Steve:Yep.
Steve:Bluey episodes.
Steve:Plot number one
Steve:Kids drag dad outside.
Steve:What?
Steve:Kids drag dad outside.
Lovella:There's so many episodes this could be.
Lovella:What?
Steve:No, it's quite literally drag him outside
Lovella:Oh my gosh.
Lovella:Okay.
Lovella:Uh ragdoll?
Steve:Yep, correct.
Steve:Okay.
Lovella:Yes.
Lovella:Okay.
Steve:No.
Steve:Okay.
Steve:Yeah.
Lovella:I was like, um, they take him outside a lot.
Steve:So Yeah, no, literally drag him outside.
Steve:He doesn't want to go.
Steve:All right, well done.
Steve:First on the board.
Steve:Excellent.
Steve:All right.
Steve:Plot number two.
Steve:Nana learns
Steve:New dance.
Lovella:Oh oh I know what it's where Nana learns the floss.
Steve:That's right.
Steve:So What's the episode called?
Lovella:The Floss?
Lovella:No, no, that's not, no.
Lovella:It's cold I gave you a bit of a cryptic clue.
Steve:There would I could have gone a really obvious way with this episode.
Lovella:Say it again
Steve:Nana learns new dance.
Steve:You've got it.
Steve:You've got the episode.
Steve:She learns to floss.
Steve:But you have to go back a little bit and figure out why they're asking whether she can
Steve:Floss.
Lovella:Because like it's because Bingo Bingo like wanted to prove to Blueie that that Nana can floss.
Steve:Mm-hmm.
Lovella:Or whatever.
Lovella:So um she learned
Lovella:I'm getting there.
Steve:It's gonna take no It's gonna take a whole bluey episode, which is seven minutes.
Lovella:No, I'm almost there.
Lovella:It's called
Lovella:It's called
Steve:It's called
Lovella:Nanna Learns to Dance.
Steve:No.
Steve:You are incorrect.
Steve:I'm gonna know it as soon as you say it.
Steve:It is called grannies.
Steve:Because they're dressed up as grannies.
Lovella:Oh my gosh, I forgot that whole part.
Steve:I know.
Lovella:Oh my gosh.
Steve:I could have gone really, really obvious and done, you know, reader and jan and hey
Lovella:Like I was on the verge of Grannies, but I was like, no, that's a different episode.
Steve:I mean they dress up as grannies a couple of times in episodes.
Lovella:But you forget that the reason is they're dressed up as grannies and then
Lovella:I dang it.
Lovella:It's such a popular episode.
Lovella:It's like one of the most like known.
Steve:I think it's the first is it the first time we see them as grannies dress up as the grannies?
Steve:Yeah, I think so.
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:Nice.
Steve:I got you.
Lovella:It's okay.
Lovella:I still have you're still you're three of the four, so I'm only one of the twos.
Steve:I know, I know, but I got you with one at least.
Steve:All right, here we go.
Steve:Well plot number three.
Steve:Dad ruins fair race.
Lovella:Dad ruins.
Lovella:Oh my gosh, I know this one.
Lovella:It's uh obstacle course.
Lovella:Obstacle wait obstacle course.
Steve:That's your answer?
Lovella:Yeah
Steve:You are correct.
Steve:Okay, good, good.
Steve:Nice.
Steve:Alright.
Lovella:That episode's good too.
Steve:You're still in this, Lovella.
Steve:You're still in this.
Steve:Okay.
Steve:All right.
Steve:So you have two, right?
Steve:You're in two?
Lovella:Yeah.
Steve:And I'm uh I got three.
Steve:So is your last question to tie it with me.
Lovella:Oh boy.
Steve:All right
Steve:stakes are pretty high in this one.
Steve:Here we go.
Steve:All right, plot number four.
Steve:Gotta find a hard one for you.
Steve:Hmm.
Steve:Do you want a hard one, a medium one, or an easy one?
Lovella:I don't care.
Steve:Just give me one.
Steve:Okay, here we go.
Steve:All right.
Steve:Plot number four.
Steve:Bingo struggles saying no
Lovella:Oh, dance mode.
Steve:Ah, again, I was trying to do a bit cryptic.
Steve:Like I could have done something all about dad dancing or something like that.
Lovella:Yeah.
Steve:But I was trying to be sneaky, but you still knew I knew that one.
Steve:I love the episode dance mode.
Steve:Alright.
Steve:Okay, well we are at a tiebreaker of course for our Bluey episode.
Steve:So we're gonna move to our tiebreaker or our bonus round now.
Lovella:All right.
Lovella:The tiebreaker bonus round basically there's one question.
Lovella:We go head to head
Lovella:And first one to buzz in and get the correct answer wins, but if you buzz in first, get the incorrect answer, the two points go to the other
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:Okay.
Steve:So we're really on a tiebreaker.
Steve:So you've got to get this right.
Lovella:Oh gee.
Steve:Otherwise the other person automatically wins.
Steve:All right.
Lovella:Yeah.
Lovella:This is gonna be quite the All right.
Steve:I've got the bonus tiebreaker in front of me.
Lovella:All right.
Steve:Are you ready?
Lovella:Yeah.
Steve:Here we go.
Steve:Bonus tiebreaker question Floating Fun becomes frantic
Lovella:Buzz.
Steve:Oh.
Lovella:The pool?
Lovella:I think it's the pool.
Lovella:Wait, floating fun.
Steve:Floating fun becomes frantic.
Steve:I know.
Lovella:Oh, is it Christmas swim?
Steve:Is that your answer?
Steve:You buzzed in first, so you get to answer.
Lovella:Wait.
Steve:If you're wrong, the two points go to me.
Steve:Wait, one more time.
Lovella:Say it again one more time.
Steve:Floating fun becomes frantic
Lovella:Oh my gosh, I know.
Lovella:Isn't it like the one that Willie's pretending to be a swimming structure?
Lovella:Oh my gosh, no.
Lovella:I don't know where that's gone.
Steve:You're gonna
Steve:You're going way too complicated.
Lovella:Really?
Lovella:It's not that?
Steve:I don't want to give you too much, but you give me the answer.
Steve:What's your answer?
Lovella:I don't know.
Steve:I could be wrong too.
Lovella:Have I said it?
Steve:I could be wrong.
Steve:I haven't looked at the answer yet.
Lovella:I'm just gonna go with the you know the one I'm talking about where Ruby's the swim the swim instructor.
Lovella:Um what's that called?
Steve:I don't know, swim lessons?
Steve:Maybe I don't know, swimming teacher
Steve:I'll give it to you if you get if even if you're wrong, I'll give you if that's the episode they're talking about.
Steve:I'll give it to you.
Lovella:Swim school.
Lovella:Swim school.
Lovella:I'm gonna go with swim school.
Steve:You're gonna go with swim school?
Lovella:Yeah.
Steve:Okay.
Lovella:And my g I am gonna say
Steve:Keepy uppy.
Lovella:What?
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:I'm gonna say keepy uppy.
Steve:Why?
Steve:Floating fun.
Steve:Because they have there's a balloon floating and that goes crazy.
Steve:That's my answer.
Steve:So I'm gonna scroll and have a.
Steve:I see where you went.
Steve:Let me just scroll down and see what the answer is.
Lovella:Ah.
Lovella:Yes!
Lovella:Keep be up beautiful
Lovella:Woohoo!
Lovella:Oh!
Lovella:Parents win the Bluey episode!
Lovella:That was the job.
Lovella:That oh my gosh, that was odd!
Lovella:I went to immediate things with cool.
Steve:It's very hard because there are quite a lot of episodes that are similar, could be similar things.
Lovella:If you said Bluey and Bingo hanging around at the house, I'd be like, technically floating fun becomes
Steve:Frantic could be the swimming swimming one, I suppose.
Lovella:Yeah, floating.
Steve:It's not really a key plot point.
Lovella:Yeah.
Lovella:Good job, Dad.
Steve:I liked that.
Lovella:That was really fun.
Steve:We should do another one.
Steve:We should we can do like a ton of these because there's like because there's like a hundred and fifty plus episodes?
Steve:Yeah.
Lovella:Right.
Lovella:Oh my goodness.
Steve:Well that was a lot of fun.
Steve:Yes.
Steve:Um if you've got a suggestion for a guest the plot episode that you want to think we should do.
Steve:Yeah.
Steve:Could be
Steve:a series of movies or books or TV shows or something like that.
Steve:Any any ideas?
Steve:We'd love to have them.
Steve:There's a link in the show notes you can suggest that topic.
Lovella:Yes, please suggest topics.
Lovella:We love
Steve:We've got a big spreadsheet.
Steve:Yes, we have so many Yeah, we got so many suggestions.
Steve:It's actually one of Lovella's jobs on this show is to compile all of
Steve:the suggestions and put them into a spreadsheet.
Steve:So she sees them all.
Steve:She wants more suggestions.
Lovella:Oh I want more.
Steve:I want more.
Lovella:Give me more.
Steve:Alright and thanks for playing Kids vs.
Steve:Parents today.
